Holidaybreak plc ("the Company") announces that Steven Whitfield, a director of
the Company, has today exercised options under the Holidaybreak plc 2001
Approved Savings Related Share Option Scheme to subscribe for 2,368 ordinary
shares of 5p each in the Company at an exercise price of 398p.


Following the exercise Mr Whitfield has notified his interest in the share
capital of the Company in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.2.(R) and section
324 of the Companies Act as follows:
