DATE OF BOARD MEETING TO ANNOUNCE INTERIM RESULTS AND RECOMMEND DIVIDEND


The Directors of Halma p.l.c. intend to hold a Board Meeting on 7 December
1999 at which the interim dividend for the 26 weeks to 2 October 1999
will be authorised.

The announcement of the profit for the 26 weeks will also be approved at that
meeting.
