Halma PLC

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for a block listing of
4,700,000 Ordinary Shares of 10 pence each to be admitted to the Official List
and to the London Stock Exchange for admission of the same number of Ordinary
Shares to trading on the London Stock Exchange. These shares will rank pari
passu with existing Ordinary Shares in issue.


1,500,000 of these shares will be allotted on the exercise of options under
the Halma plc 1990 Approved Share Option Scheme, 2,000,000 will be allotted on
the exercise of options under the Halma plc 1996 Unapproved Share Options
Scheme and 1,200,000 will be allotted on the exercise of options under the
Halma plc 1999 Company Share Option Plan.
