Board Appointment

Phillip Rose, aged 45, has today been appointed as a non-executive director of
Great Portland Estates plc.

Mr Rose is Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Real Estate Capital. Previously he
was Head of Real Estate for ABN Amro, Chief Operating Officer of TrizecHahn
Europe and Managing Director of Lend Lease Global Investments plc.

Mr Rose is a non-executive director of the Hermes Property Unit Trust and a
Member of the INREV Performance and Benchmarking Committee.
