The Board of Glanbia plc, the integrated global nutritionals and large scale dairy business, today (29 May 2012) announces, with effect from today, the appointment of Mr. Jeremiah Doheny as a non-executive Director of the Company and the retirement of Mr. James Gannon as a non-executive Director of the Company.  Mr. Doheny was nominated by Glanbia Co-operative Society Limited and is a full time farmer who farms at Upper Tullaroan, Co. Kilkenny. Mr. Doheny has significant expertise of the dairy and agricultural industry.

Mr. Doheny has notified the Company that he has no details to be disclosed as required under Paragraph 6.6.7, Chapter 6 of the Irish Listing Rules and Paragraph 9.6.13, Chapter 9 of the UK Listing Rules.

Mr. Doheny today on his appointment notified the Company, pursuant to Section 53 of the Companies  Act, 1990 as extended by Section 64 of the Companies Act 1990, that he is interested in 6,496 ordinary shares of €0.06 each in Glanbia plc.
