GALLIFORD PLC ('the Company')

On 7 March 2000 Mr Mick Noble, a director of Galliford
PLC, exercised an option over 100,000 ordinary shares of
5p each in Galliford plc at an option price of 19 pence
per share.  This option was originally granted on 26
March 1996 under the rules of the Galliford PLC (No. 2)
Executive Share Option Scheme.  On the same day Mr Noble
notified the Company of the sale of 100,000 ordinary
shares of 5p each in Galliford PLC at a price of 27 pence
per share.  Following this transaction Mr Noble remains
interested in 17,250 ordinary shares, representing 0.016
per cent of the Company's total issued share capital.
