In accordance with section 198 of the Companies Act 1985, Futura Medical plc
('Futura' or the 'Company') was notified today by Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein 
Group Limited, an indirect subsidiary of Allianz AG, that following a purchase 
by Allianz Cornhill Insurance plc ('Cornhill') of 75,000 shares in Futura on 
11 June 2004, Allianz AG and subsidiaries together with Cornhill hold 2,487,000 
shares in the Company. This holding represents 5.12% of the Company's issued 
share capital. Cornhill's shares in Futura are registered in the name of 
Bank of New York (Nominees) Limited.
