                         Grant of options to Director




On 25 July 2001 Sue Hele, Finance Director, was granted an option under the
Company's EMI share option scheme to purchase 50,000 ordinary shares at 89
pence per share. The option is exercisable from 25.07.04 to 24.07.11.
