Purchase of Own Securities


Paddy Power plc announces that on 5 September 2007, it purchased 250,000
ordinary shares in the capital of the Company at a price of €23.90 per share.

The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares.  Following the above
purchase, the company holds 250,000 shares in treasury and has 48,943,994
ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
