                         Appointment of Fleet Director



James Fisher and Sons plc ('James Fisher' or FSJ.L), the leading marine service
company, announce the appointment of Arthur Todd as Fleet Director based in
Barrow-in-Furness.



Mr Todd joins from Brookes Bell Jarrett Kirman, one of the world's leading
marine experts, surveyors and consultants. Mr Todd, a Chartered Engineer,
started his career with 14 years at sea on a wide range of vessels. After
joining Brookes Bell in 1983 he became a partner in 1986 and was appointed
managing partner in 2001, a post he held for over 6 years of sustained growth.
He has extensive experience of ships operations and has been the lead expert on
many high profile projects, including recently the wreck removal operation of
MSC Napoli.
