                       FINSBURY GROWTH & INCOME TRUST PLC

                            Second Interim Dividend


The Board has declared a second interim dividend of 4.0p per share in respect of
the year ending 30 September 2005 which will be paid on 28 October 2005 to
shareholders on the register on 30 September 2005.


The Board does not intend to recommend a final dividend in respect of the year
ending 30 September 2005, so the total dividend paid for the year will be 8.0p
per share (2004: 5.9p per share), an increase of 36%.  The shares will go
ex-dividend on 28 September 2005.
