Filtronic PLC was notified on 15th October, 1999, that Mrs Ellen Burbank, the
wife of Professor Stephen Burbank, a Director of the Company, purchased on
14th October, 1999, 900 Ordinary Shares in Filtronic PLC at #10.75 per share. 
Following this purchase, Mrs Burbank's total holding is 900 Ordinary Shares.
