Transaction in Own Shares

Announcement Body Information:

Jupiter  European  Opportunities Trust PLC (`the  Company')  announces  that  it
purchased  200,000  of the Company's Ordinary shares at 115.50p  per  share  for
cancellation.

Following  this transaction the issued share capital with voting rights  of  the
Company is 81,064,723 shares.

The  above figure 81,064,723 may be used by shareholders as the denominator  for
the  calculations  by which they can determine if they are  required  to  notify
their  interest  in,  or  a  change  to  their  interest  in,  Jupiter  European
Opportunities Trust PLC under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
