Jupiter European Opportunities Trust PLC ("the Company") received notification
from East Riding of Yorkshire Council ('East Riding') today that, following a
purchase of 175,000 Ordinary shares in the Company on 15th June 2005 the
disclosable interest of East Riding in the shares of the Company has increased
to 3,300,000 representing 4.09% of the issued share capital.
