Jupiter European Opportunities Trust PLC ('the Company') received notification
from Jupiter Asset Management Limited ('JAM') today that, following the
purchase of 435,996 Ordinary shares in the Company by JAM on 10th August,
2001, portfolios under the management of JAM now have an aggregate holding of
16,712,548 Ordinary Shares in the Company representing 20.15% of the issued
share capital.
