Jupiter European Opportunities Trust PLC ('the Company') received notification
from Jupiter Asset Management Limited ('JAM') today that, following the
purchase of 500,000 Ordinary shares in the Company by JAM on 3rd July, 2001,
portfolios under the management of JAM now have an aggregate holding of
15,780,552 Ordinary Shares in the Company representing 19.03% of the issued
share capital.
