  * Jupiter European Opportunities Trust PLC ('the Company') received
    notification from Jupiter Asset Management Limited ('JAM') today that
    following the purchase of 1,750,000 Ordinary shares in the Company by JAM
    on 25th January 2001, they now hold 14,622,952 Ordinary Shares in the
    Company representing 17.63% of the issued share capital of that class.
