Empyrean Energy PLC 06 December 2007 Empyrean Energy PLC ('Empyrean' or the 'Company'; Ticker: (EME)) Sugarloaf Prospect, ('Sugarloaf'), Block B, Texas USA ------------------------------------------------------ Empyrean, the AIM listed oil and gas explorer and producer with assets in Germany and USA today announces the following: Kennedy -1H Well ---------------- The operator advises that a 4-1/2 inch liner has been run to a total depth of 16,530 feet and been cemented in place. Operations continue to prepare the well for the planned extensive fracture stimulation testing program. A further update will be given when the date for commencement of the fracture stimulation and testing program becomes known. Sugarloaf-1 Well ---------------- Since our last report completion tubing has been re-run and testing has just begun. Early swabbing has recovered hydrocarbons. The significance of the hydrocarbons cannot be determined until the well has stabilized and the test has run for an extended period. Further updates will be provided following developments.
