Empyrean Energy PLC 12 September 2007 Empyrean Energy PLC ('Empyrean' or the 'Company'; Ticker: (EME)) Sugarloaf Prospect, ('Sugarloaf') Texas USA ------------------------------------------- Empyrean provides the following update on the Sugarloaf Prospect as provided by Texas Crude Energy Inc ('TCEI'), the operator. Sugarloaf-1 Well ---------------- Empyrean has been advised that fracture stimulation and testing operations at the Sugarloaf-1 well, located in the onshore Gulf Coast Basin in Texas, USA, commenced on 11 September 2007, Texas time. As previously advised, there are up to three separate zones that will be fracture stimulated and tested sequentially as part of this program in Cretaceous aged carbonates of the Austin Chalk formation, with the deepest zone being tested first. Further announcements will be made as results from this test become available. Proposed Kennedy #1H Well ------------------------- Empyrean was also advised that the rig to drill the Kennedy #1H well is scheduled to mobilize to the well site this week.
