On 24 March 2000, The Edinburgh Investment Trust plc bought back a further
64,933 ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 549.55p per share.
Following the buy back, there are 264,920,644 ordinary shares in issue. The
share buy-back will be financed out of the capital reserve.
