The Board of Anglo Pacific Group PLC, (APG), is pleased to announce an interim
dividend for the year ending 31st December 2004 of 1.6p net per ordinary share
(2003 Interim 1.3p net), an increase of 23%. This will be paid to shareholders
registered on the share register at the close of business on 3rd December 2004.

The shares will be quoted ex dividend in London on 1st December 2004 and in
Australia on 29th November 2004 and the dividend will be paid on 28th January
2005.

Shareholders will be given the opportunity to elect to receive a scrip dividend
instead of cash.
