   Anglo Pacific Group PLC Completes Placing of 4.4 million Shares at 81.75p

Further to the earlier announcement, Anglo Pacific Group PLC, ('Anglo Pacific'),
is pleased to announce that it has completed the placing of 4.4 million ordinary
shares at 81.75p per share with various Institutions. The new ordinary shares,
which rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares, are being issued
pursuant to the section 89 disapplication which was granted by shareholders at
the last AGM of Anglo Pacific held on 26th May 2004. Application is being made
for the new ordinary shares to be admitted to the Official List and to trading
on the London Stock Exchange and it is expected that dealings will commence on
15th October 2004.
