                          Lawrence plc (the 'Company')
                     Statement re possible disposal of Agil


Following today's comment in the press, the Board announces that it is engaged
in detailed discussions with Kiotech International plc that may or may not to
lead to the disposal of the Company's animal feed additives division, Agil.

The Board anticipates that the expected proceeds of the disposal would, should
it proceed, be used to accelerate the programme of registrations with ECO Animal
Health.

The Board will advise shareholders of any further developments.
