easyJet welcomes the support of ISS and ABI for AGM resolutions

Mike Rake, Chairman of easyJet, said today:

"easyJet welcomes the recommendation from ISS and the support of the ABI in favour of the Company's remuneration report.  The majority of easyJet's institutional shareholders are guided by these influential bodies.

"easyJet's remuneration strategy is designed to deliver the performance and long term success of the company which all our shareholders want.

"As easyJet has previously said, as the accounting rules establish a standard definition of ROCE that we would move to bring leases on balance sheet and measure return on capital on that basis.

"It is now quite clear that because of the complexity of this issue changes to the accounting rules are going to be delayed beyond 2013 and we will continue to review the targets in that context.  We will take independent advice, consult shareholders and review carefully the most appropriate way to account for the inclusion of leases in future, including for LTIP grants.

"The recommendations by ISS and Glass Lewis, together with the support of the ABI, for the re-election of all easyJet's directors continues to demonstrate the strong support easyJet's Board has from its institutional shareholders."
