Passenger growth for the year was 11.5%, with unit revenue (total revenue per seat) showing an increase of 7.8% compared with the previous year. As a result, easyJet now expects pre-tax profit for the year ended 30 September 2006 to be slightly ahead of its previous guidance for pre-tax profit growth of 40% to 50%. easyJet has developed its position as the largest low cost airline in Spain and during September announced 6 new routes from Madrid including 2 domestic services to La Coruna and Asturias/Oviedo as well as new routes to Toulouse, Lyon, Casablanca and Rome. In addition, easyJet is adding extra frequencies on existing routes from Madrid to London Gatwick, Berlin, Geneva, and Milan Malpensa. easyJet will announce its preliminary results for the year ended 30 September 2006 on 14 November 2006.
