The Company on 19 January 2007, received notice pursuant to sections 198- 202 of
the Companies Act 1985, that Deutsche Bank AG and its subsidiary companies have
a notifiable interest in 24,961,426 ordinary shares of the Company. This amounts
to 6.02% of the issued share capital of the Company.

Part of this holding may relate to hedging arrangements for customer
transactions.
