AGM Statement

Domino's Pizza UK & IRL PLC 24 April 2003 Immediate Release Noon, 24 April 2003 Domino's Pizza UK&IRL plc ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING STATEMENT AIM-listed Domino's Pizza UK&IRL plc (symbol: DOM), the UK's leading pizza delivery company, held its Annual General Meeting at noon today. Chief Executive, Stephen Hemsley, updated shareholders on current trading and future prospects, saying: 'System sales in the first 14 weeks of the year to 6 April 2003 were up 18.7% on the previous year (2002: 29.0%) to £36.9m (2002: £31.1m). In the same period, like-for-like sales were up 7.8% (2002: 19.7%). 'The first three months of the year have seen Domino's further accelerate the rate of store openings with ten new stores opened (2002: seven), bringing the total number of stores to date to 279. This system growth has been supported with an ongoing marketing programme to identify franchisees and properties in what we call 'pizza delivery deprivation zones'. These communities, currently incorporating around 60% of UK and Republic of Ireland households, do not have access to our delivered pizza service and we aim to change that as we continue to expand throughout key regions.' Mr Hemsley concluded, 'I am pleased to report a strong start to the year which reflects our steady focus on high quality pizza and a dependable, convenient and friendly delivery service for all our customers. Our team members' commitment to supporting Domino's brand promises continues to result in customer loyalty and repeat business. 'Based on growth to date, we look forward to reporting continued strong progress at the interim stage in July.'
