As required under the terms of the above Act, I am writing to advise you of the 
following transactions affecting notifiable interests held by the above Company;

               04.04.01    Bought       150,000 Ordinary 5p shares
               10.10.01    Sold       1,000,000 Ordinary 5p shares

These transactions leave the Trust's holding at 1,743,393 Ordinary 5p shares, 
which according to our records, now represents a holding of 6.928% of this class
of capital.

The Shares will be held in the name of HSBC Global Custody Nominees Ltd.
