Derwent Valley Holdings plc announces that on March 1st, 2001 a substitution
of the Specific Security of the group's First Mortgage Debenture Stock was
completed whereby more than 15% of the Specific Security, as at December 31,
2000, was withdrawn. This announcement is made in accordance with clause
17.1.xxiii of the Trust Deed.
