                   Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC (the 'Company')

                            Notification of Interest


The Company received notification on 22 January 2003 from Hermes Administration
Services Limited, pursuant to section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 (as amended
by the Companies Act 1989), that

 1. BriTel Fund Trustees Limited and The Trustees of BT Pension Scheme have an
    interest in 2,373,384 ordinary 1p shares in the Company, which represents
    4.705 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.

 2. Consignia Pensions Trustees Limited and Possfund Custodian Trustee Ltd have
    an interest in 1,634,173 ordinary 1p shares in the Company, which represents
    3.24 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
