shown.  All other details are unchanged.  The full amended text is shown below.



De La Rue plc (the 'Company') has today (24 November 1999) been notified that
Mr P R Hollingworth, an Executive Director of the Company, on 24 November 1999
purchased 10,000 ordinary shares of the Company at a price of 350p per share.
Following this transaction, Mr Hollingworth's total interest in the Company is
10,000 ordinary shares.
