SUBJECT:      Issue of Equity

The Board of F&C Managed Portfolio Trust plc announces that on 15 April 2010 the Company sold 200,000 Income shares of 10p each from treasury at a price of 94.0p per Income share.

Following this issue the Company's issued share capital consists of 21,907,192 Income shares and 19,120,567 Growth shares, of which 427,000 Income shares and 1,760,000 Growth shares are held in treasury.  Therefore the total number of shares with voting rights in F&C Managed Portfolio Trust plc is 21,480,192 Income shares and 17,360,567 Growth shares.

The above figures (21,480,192 Income shares and 17,360,567 Growth shares) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, F&C Managed Portfolio Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
