In the prospectus issued by the Company dated 25 February 2008, the Directors stated their intention to apply to the Court of Session for the approval of the cancellation of the share premium account of F&C Managed Portfolio Trust plc (the 'Company'). The Directors are pleased to confirm that the Court of Session has approved the cancellation of the Company's share premium account and the creation of a special reserve of £37,915,842.  This reserve will be available to be used by the Company, in accordance with its stated policy, to fund share buy backs once various procedural matters are concluded, including the filing of initial accounts with the Registrar of Companies. The Company will make a further announcement once these matters are concluded.
