                                 BOARD CHANGES


As foreshadowed by the Chairman at the recent Annual General Meeting the Board
of Directors will be changing. The directors announce the following changes in
the composition and roles of the directors.

Mr David Weir has been appointed as a director of and Chairman of the Board of
directors of the Company.

Mr Julian Pollard has been appointed a director of the Company.

Mr Graham Ashley has been appointed a director of the Company

Mr Royce Ritchie, after 5 years on the board, intends to step down as Chairman
and as a director, to pursue other interests in Australia but will remain
available to the Board to complete and assist in any outstanding matters.

Messrs Russell Sincock and Jim Ferguson will remain non-executive directors of
the Company.

The changes will take effect forthwith and Mr Weir will assume the Chairman's
role from the commencement of business tomorrow.

The information relating to each new director pursuant to Schedule Two,
paragraph (f) of the AIM Rules will be announced shortly.

After a very difficult period in the Company's history, it is believed that a
board dominated by local directors representing all shareholders' interests will
enable the company to maximize its existing investments and the future of its
listing on the AIM market.
