The Conygar Investment Company PLC ('Conygar' or 'the Company') announces that
it was notified on 18 January 2005 that Michael Wigley and Nigel Hamway, both
non-executive directors of the Company, acquired 30,000 and 10,000 ordinary
shares of 5 pence each respectively in the Company on 18 January 2005.  Both of
the acquisitions were made at a price per share of 82.5 pence.

Following the respective acquisitions, Michael Wigley holds 130,000 ordinary
shares of 5 pence each in the Company, representing 1.33% of the shares in
issue.  Nigel Hamway owns 147,000 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the
Company, representing 1.51% of the shares in issue.
