                     CML MICROSYSTEMS PLC


At  the  Annual General Meeting of CML Microsystems  PLC  held
today,  Chairman,  George Gurry, made the following  comments.
'I  would like to confirm that sales and earnings in the first
quarter  show  a healthy increase on the corresponding  period
last  year  and we are well on course to meet our  first  half
internal  budgets.  This reinforces my view that trading  will
continue  to move ahead in a satisfactory manner for the  year
as a whole.'
