Churchill China plc ( 'the Company') has today received notification from HSBC
Guyerzeller that, on 20 January 2003, Landfinance Limited purchased 25,000
ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company.

Landfinance Limited now holds 545,000 ordinary shares in the Company,
representing 5.11 per cent. of the issued share capital.
