Notification of Interest

Elektron plc (the "Company") was notified on 14 July 2010 by Downing Corporate Finance Limited that, due to the merger and transfer of Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs) to being managed by Downing Corporate Finance Limited, its shares in Elektron are now held by Downing Distribution VCT2 PLC.

The holding of 4,014,500 ordinary shares remains unchanged and represents approximately 4.5% of the total voting rights in the Company.
