Chaarat Gold Holdings Ltd (AIM:CGH), a gold exploration company with interests
focused in the Kyrgyz Republic, was notified on 1 May 2008,that as at close of
business on 4 March 2008, First State Investment Management (UK) Limited holds a
total of 4,337,000 Common Shares.  This holding represents 6.033 percent of the
total issued share capital of Chaarat as at 4 March 2008, being 71,883,433
Common Shares.
