Dinkie Heel announces that it was informed today that Mr R J Mitchell,
Director, purchased 30,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 14p
each, on 21 September 1999.

Mr Mitchell is now deemed to be interested in 46,145 ordinary shares in the
Company, representing approximately 0.3% of the entire issued share capital.
