Publication of a Supplement to the Base Prospectus

The following Supplement dated 14 August 2012 (the Supplement) to the Base Prospectus dated 27 September 2011, which incorporates Centrica plc's interim results for the period ended 30 June 2012 into the Base Prospectus, has been approved by the UK Listing Authority and is available for viewing:

The Supplement should be read and construed in conjunction with the document incorporated by reference therein, the Base Prospectus dated 27 September 2011, the Supplement dated 2 December 2011, the Supplement dated 23 February 2012 and the supplement dated 2 April 2012 (together, the Prospectus).
