Change to Board of Directors

Celtic PLC 1 June 2000 CELTIC plc MANAGEMENT CHANGES Celtic plc is pleased to announce today the appointment of Brian Quinn as Chairman and Martin O'Neill as Football Manager. Several weeks ago Frank O'Callaghan informed the Board of his intention to resign as non-executive Chairman of Celtic plc for personal reasons. At the time he agreed to remain in office until a new first team coach had been appointed. That appointment has now been made and he has written to give official notification of his resignation from the Board of Celtic plc. Frank O'Callaghan comments: 'I am delighted that Martin O'Neill has been appointed and I wish him and Celtic every success in the future.' Brian Quinn, at present Vice-Chairman, has agreed to become non-executive Chairman of Celtic plc with effect from today's date. Brian Quinn stated: 'The Board accepts Frank's resignation with regret. He has worked extremely hard during his period as Chairman and has demonstrated his deep commitment and loyalty to our football club. In particular Frank assisted greatly with the widening of the Celtic shareholder base last year at the time of the Fergus McCann share sale. It is an honour to be asked to succeed him. I will do all that I can to lead the Board in its determination to restore Celtic to a position of sustained success, both on and off the field.'
