Transition to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

Carillion will be making a presentation to analysts today, 30 June 2005, on its
transition to International Financial Reporting Standards, including a
restatement of its 2004 financial information.

The presentation, together with a supporting paper explaining the transition and
its effects on Carillion's 2004 financial information, will also be available on
Carillion's web site at www.carillionplc.com/ifrs

The effects on the Company of adopting IFRS are not materially different from
those published in Carillion's 2004 Annual Report and Accounts, in May 2005.
