Holding in Company

Carillion plc (the 'Company') has today been notified by letter dated 6
February 2001 that UBS Asset Management Limited, Phillips & Drew Life Limited,
UBS Asset Management International Limited and their holding company, UBS
Asset Management Holding (No.2) Limited no longer have a notifiable interest
(under Companies Act 1985 ss.198-202 (as amended)) in the Company's ordinary
shares of 50p each.
