        Completion of Disposal of Lee Steel Strip

Carclo  Engineering  Group PLC announces  that  following
shareholder  approval  and  notification  from  Companies
House the name of the company has been changed to 'Carclo
plc'.

Carclo  plc also announces that following receipt of  the
necessary regulatory approvals, the disposal of Lee Steel
Strip,  as  announced on 30th September  1999,  has  been
completed.   As a result the disposal proceeds  of  £20.6
million have now been received by Carclo.
