C&C Group Plc ("the Company") announces that on 31 January 2008 it purchased for
cancellation 900,000 ordinary shares of nominal value €0.001 each in the capital
of the Company ('Ordinary Shares').

The highest price paid for these Ordinary Shares was €4.30 per share and the
lowest price paid was €4.25 per share.

Following the cancellation of these shares, the Company will have 317,347136
Ordinary Shares in issue.
