Director purchase of shares

Burford Capital Limited (the "Company") announces that on 24 May 2012 the Company was notified, in accordance with DTR 3.1.2 R, that Hugh Steven Wilson (non-executive director) had bought 25,000 ordinary shares of the Company (the "Ordinary Shares") on 23 May 2012 at 112 pence per Ordinary Share and a further 25,000 Ordinary Shares on 24 May 2012 at 112 pence per Ordinary Share.  Following these purchases, Mr Wilson now holds 150,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company, representing approximately 0.08% of the issued Ordinary Share Capital of the Company.
