The Company announces that on 18 May 2006, it received two notifications
pursuant to section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 stating that;
     
a)   as at 12 May 2006, Barclays PLC, through a number of its legal entities
     ('Barclays'), had an interest in 13,827,191 ordinary shares of 0.05p each 
     in the capital of the Company (being 3.09% of the Company's issued ordinary 
     share capital); and

b)   as at 15 May 2006, Barclays ceased to have a notifiable interest in the
     Company's ordinary shares.
