NOTIFICATION OF CHANGE IN DIRECTORS' INTERESTS IN THE
ORDINARY SHARES OF BRITISH TELECOMMUNICATIONS plc
Increase in technical interest in respect of each of
Sir Iain Vallance
Sir Peter Bonfield
Robert Brace
Bill Cockburn
Following the notification, dated 6 August 1999,
concerning the technical interest of the above-named
directors in shares held by BT Employee Shares Trustees
Limited in respect of the BT Employee Share Ownership
Scheme, the directors each have an additional technical
interest in 572 shares.
This additional interest has arisen as a result of an
adjustment following the appropriation of shares on 2
August 1999. Accordingly, those shares have been retained
by BT Employee Shares Trustees Limited.
Each of the above directors now has a technical interest
under Schedule 13 of the Companies Act 1985 in 101,266
ordinary shares held by BT Employee Shares Trustees
Limited.
There have been no other changes in the directors'
technical or individual interests.
