The British Land Company PLC announces the following transactions in the
Company's ordinary shares ('shares') of 25p by a director of the Company which
were notified to the Company on 9th February 2000.
The purchase by Mr M J Cassidy, a director, of 20,000 shares at a price of
339p per share and by his wife, Mrs R A Cassidy, of 5,000 shares, at the same
price, on the 9th February 2000.
